Mosaic!

After reading an article on Engadget about making photomosaics I decided to give it a go myself. I didn't spend a lot of time on it...and the results reflect that. But they were fun to make and I'm sure I'll get better at it over time :)

I used about 230 photos that our awesome friend Mary took at our wedding as the tiles for the mosaic. I then selected one of her photos to be the background image that becomes tiled. You really only get the full effect if you step back about 4-5Ft. from your computer monitor (or if you print them out). It looks BEST if you click on the full size version (3MB) at the bottom of this entry and stand about 10Ft. back.

You can see the full size version of try number 2 here. Warning though...it's a large file-- about 3MB! Remember to stand several feet back to get the full effect and make it worth waiting for the download :)

This is very cool -- is there a way to have this printed out professionally in color -- say poster size (about 2' x 3')?
