Hart's 30th Birthday!

It's official, I turned 30 this month! So far, I'm totally diggin' the 3rd decade. In celebration Melissa & I rounded up the posse for an afternoon of dim sum and an evening of rock climbing and unicycling!

National Race For The Cure: June 3rd, 2006

As many of you know, I've organized a team to participate in the Susan G. Komen National Race For The Cure. The proceeds from this race go to benefit the fight against breast cancer.

There is still PLENTY of time to join us! The event is a 5k (walk or run, strollers are welcome!) in Washington, D.C on June 3rd, 2006. The runners start is at 8am and the walkers start is at 8:15am. Most people will finish in under an hour (whether you walk or run).

Our team name is Team Tour D'Cure and our team "code" is TDC. You can join the team up until online registration closes Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at 11:59pm EST by visiting our team web page. We also have a team store where you can pick up some cool schwag including shirts, hats, mugs, messenger bags, etc. ALL proceeds go directly to the Susan G. Komen foundation. If you are already a team member, please visit the store soon so you can represent on race day :)

We look forward to seeing you on race day!!

One Wheeled Weeble

For my birthday this year the greatest wife in the world bought me a unicycle!! I've been practicing for three weeks now and thought I'd post a few videos showing my progress. In order for you to appreciate how far I've come, I'll have you know that I started by spending about 30 minutes practicing in a door frame, then moved into several hours on the porch with a railing on one side and the front wall of the house on the other. I then progressed to hanging onto a car and pushing out into the street...and promptly toppling over! This went on for HOURS. After about 2 weeks, I could finally ride in a wobbly line 100ft. or so fairly frequently. Just this past week I've mastered "free mounting", or getting onto the wacky thing without any assistance or having to hold onto something. Freedom at last!

So, without further fanfare, I give you One Wheeled Weeble Videos...

Belly Shotz May!!!!

Quick Simply Update

Just a little note to let everyone know that we had another sonogram last week and continue to get good news :) Simply weighs approx. 4lbs. 10oz. and the doctor predicts that she will be between 5 and 6 pounds at delivery! Everyone is doing great and the sonogram doctor said "Come back in 3 weeks, unless you have your baby!".

The doctors still haven't officially changed our Due Date of July 2nd...but they have given us reason to believe the baby could be early. So, the way we see it, anytime after June 10th it's GAME ON!
